Level 27: The Chess Game

Defeat the Giant Chess Pieces

  • Ron has gone ahead to the next challenge, which is a chess game. Follow Hermione there and save your game. Ron is hurt, but has managed to defeat most of the pieces. It is up to you now. The rules are that you are allowed to move once each turn, as well as the other pieces. You must make them fight each other and stay as far away from the other pieces. If you are having trouble, here are the moves that will get you through this level.
  • First, start on the white piece. Go up, diagonal right, and then right. After defeating the pieces, follow Hermione to the next area.
  • In this area, there are 6 bottles placed on a table. The bottles will move about, faster after each successful turn, and you must decide which of them is the right bottle. Also, there is not a certain position where the bottle is always placed, so you have to try your best to figure it out. Level Complete.

Level 28: Final Encounter

Stop Quirell from reaching the Sorceror's Stone

  • Final Level. Harry will see someone entering the doors ahead. Follow the person and save your game. Enter through the doors to the first part of the challenge. You see Quirell on a very high ledge on the opposite side of the room. In front of you there will be two small and two tall blocks. On the side of the room are two chocolate frogs, in case. Your task is to move one small and one tall block to the ledge where Quirell is standing, so that you can make it into a staircase. But be careful. Everytime you move one block, Quirell emits red sparks to move your block back. Also, don't get into his range or he will throw green spark at you, which does alot of damage to your health. Sometimes, if Quirell succeeds hitting you once, he will continue to throw green sparks, and you won't get enough time to run. So stay behind the blocks as much as possible. When you have pushed both blocks to the ledge, climb up and Quirell will leave to the final room. If you are low on health, there are four chocolate frogs that you may get before entering the final area. Now go and you will enter a circular room with the mirror of erised inside. Harry goes to the mirror and his mirror image takes the stone out of his pocket and puts it back it. Quirell comes and tells Potter to hand over the stone. A voice comes out of nowhere and tells Quirell that it wishes to speak to Harry face to face. Quirell takes off his turban and Voldemort's face appears. Harry attempts to run, but Voldemort creates a fire around the exit. So now it is time to battle him.

  • Note that Voldemort has two types of attack. One is the same as the spark that Quirell used, as well as another green spark that follows you for a few seconds. First notice the room around you. It is a circular room with 5 pillars, and the mirror of erised in the center. The first thing you should do is knock the pillars onto Voldemort. Run behind a pillar and wait for Voldemort to hit it so that it begins to shake. Then use your flipendo spell to knock the pillar onto him. From my experience at playing this level, I've noticed that only every other pillar causes damage to him. The first pillar you knock down does cause him damage, but the next pillar will not cause any damage and as soon as you knock it down, keep running because Voldemort will keep attacking. When you have knocked all the pillars down, it is time to get close. You have to now use the mirror to defeat him. Run around the mirror, making sure that Voldemort stays opposite you. When he is about to stop circling, stop and quickly hit the mirror so that the glass side hits Voldemort. Be careful! Usually after hitting him once, the next time he throws sparks at you, it is usually the type that follows you for a while. So run away from that. Keep doing this until you have defeated him. Level Complete.
